Description

The third of our yearly whitewater progression series! We’ll be off to beautiful Llangollen to paddle the Dee, to develop our grade 2/3 paddling skills.

Cost will be £120pp and will include travel*, camping, breakfasts and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Saturday. There may be additional river fees.

We’ll be camping at Wern Isaf Farm, which is based a short distance (15 - 20 minute walk) from Llangollen town centre.

We’ll be paddling the grade 2/3 sections of the Dee. As the title suggests, it is the perfect next step if you’ve enjoyed Symond’s Yat.

We’ll leave on the Friday, and travel back on Sunday afternoon, arriving in Norwich on Sunday evening.

We have hired a van to take kayaks, paddling kit and camping kit. We’ll be relying on personal vehicles to get people there.

We are hoping to offer this to both canoeists and kayakers but this will depend on whether we have suitable cover for canoes.

Travel is only included if taking a minimum of 3 persons who are also signed up on this trip, unless told otherwise.

If you are unsure if this trip is for you, or if you have any questions, please speak to Martin, Pete or Leanne.

If signing up, make sure you update your notes by 27th June to answer the following questions

  1. Are you kayaking or canoeing?
  2. Do you need to borrow club kit?
  3. Are you willing to drive the hire van?
  4. Are you willing to take your personal vehicle?
  5. Can you shop for breakfasts and lunches?
  6. Can you shop for and cook dinner on Saturday evening?
  7. Any dietary requirements?
  8. What time can you leave on Friday?
