This is an intro to white water trip – if you are not sure if it’s for you, then please have a chat with a coach , Leanne, Martin, Pete, Si or Stu will be able to advise and tell you more about the weekend. Both Canoes and kayaks are welcome, spaces are always dependent on coach cover. We will be staying at Biblins campsite in Ross-on-Wye HR9 6DX. As usual for our white water trips we will provide breakfast, pack up lunch and Saturday evening meal. We will be camping and so you will need to be equipped for camping, providing your own tent, bedding, mug, plates and cutlery. There are toilet and shower facilities on site. There is also a unique building called the Burrow, which is a communal space for eating and cooking as well as communal bunk beds. When you sign up, you will need to state whether you are camping or sleeping in the burrow ( you will still need to provide your own bedding ) We hire a minibus which typically leaves the club at 4pm on Friday 29th, we paddle on Saturday and until mid afternoon on Sunday before returning to the club to off load all our kit etc. We will ask for volunteers to drive buses and vans, pull trailers, shop for breakfast and lunch, shop and cook for one evening meal. Once sign up is closed, I’ll ask more pertinent questions, please be mindful to keep the financial and environmental costs down we ask people to lift share and generally “muck in”. The cost of the trip will be £120.00 for the weekend and should cover all our costs including transport – More details on payment when sign up has closed.
