. Eagle Canoe Club- WEDNESDAY 12th August 2026 River Bure
What: An evening trip for self contained paddlers with access to and the means of getting their craft to the starting and returning point of Mayton Bridge, Little Hautbois . From the put in we have a variety of options from paddling up towards Buxton Mill or downstream towards Horstead. If you can paddle confidently and comfortably up to Hellesdon Mill from the club and back on a club night then you should be Ok for any of the proposed options. I envisage we will be of the water by 2030 hrs.
When : WEDNESDAY 12th August 2026. Meet at the get in point (251217) at 1830 hrs. Its a small unsurfaced car park and slipway right by the bridge. With car parking likely to be tight , cars may have to parked slightly further down the road.
What's involved? Meet at the get in point on the River Bure. Unload, park up and get afloat. We will return to the get in point .
Do remember to bring a selection of clothing, including a waterproof, so you can cope with whatever the weather does.
