A local Friday daytime paddle with Pete B.
A chance to try out the new launching facility in Wroxham. From Norwich on the A1152, pass over Wroxham bridge and take the first left onto Station Road and then left into the far corner of Roy's Medium Stay Car Park, what three words; /// bolt.redeeming.gateway Parking is free and there are public toilets in the Hoveton Visitor Centre, a short walk from the carpark. Meet at 10am to get on the water about 10.30 Expect to be off the water by 3pm.
The launch point takes us onto the River Bure and we will head upstream away from the busy leisure cruisers in the centre of town, we return to the same location. The distance and speed of the trip will depend entirely on the group but it's loosely aimed at those who will keep up on an evening paddle upstream from the club and back.
On sign up please let me know what boat you will paddle and if you need / can offer transport etc. For those wanting a club boat and kit, please sign up by Wednesday evening so I'm able to collect items on Club Night. This would enable us all to meet at Wroxham on Friday.
Please dress for the forecast weather conditions and bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, warm layers and waterproofs just in case. Bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink, some snacks to eat between meals.
