Full details to follow, but the intention is be to paddle from Wroxham to Salhouse Broad for lunch then return to Wroxham. A distance of around 9.6km (6 miles).
Meet at Wroxham at 10am for those with their own kit or at the Club at 9am (away by 9:20am) for those needing to borrow boats and/or kit. We shall aim to be on the water by 10:30am
When you sign up, you will initially be shown as short-listed to ensure we have sufficient Leader cover and transport for the day.
Please answer the following questions when you sign up:
Will you meet at Wroxham or at the Club?
Do you need to borrow and boats or kit from the club? If so, what?
Do you need assistance in transporting boats to Wroxham?
Are you able to help transport boats to Wroxham?
Would you like to tandem in a canoe with another club member if this is perhaps your first trip - or you just prefer tandeming anyway!
Are you are Paddle UK member? If so, please bring your membership card with you. If not please say so on sign up - otherwise you will be assumed to have the appropriate licence to paddle on the Norfolk Broads.
Other things to consider are:
If you haven't done any winter paddling before, think about how you will stay warm and dry - especially your hands! Everyone should have a spare change of clothes with them, on the water, in a dry bag.
Don't forget to bring lunch and a warm drink.
Consider bringing additional layers to put on at lunch time so that you don't get cold when you stop.
