What: An evening trip on the River Chet for self contained paddlers with access to and the means of getting their craft to the starting and returning point of Loddon.
The meeting point and get in : The Staithe Car park, Bridge Street, Loddon, NR14 6EZ .I believe the car park is free after 6 pm.
From the put in we paddle initially downstream exploring this stretch of the River Chet before turning and returning to the get in point.
If you can paddle confidently and comfortably up to Hellesdon Mill from the club and back on a club night then you should be Ok for this evenings paddle. The exact distance paddled will be determined by paddlers experience and wishes.
The plan will be to be of the water by 2030 hrs.
When : WEDNESDAY 18th June 2025. Meet at the get in point at 1830 hrs. NOT AT EAGLE CANOE CLUB.
Do remember to bring a selection of clothing, even if its hot weather including a waterproof, so you can cope with whatever the weather does. Drinks and snacks as you see fit. If you’re a member of the BCU or have a Broads Authority river licence please do bring it.
